Join us for an immersive journey through French language, food and culture with Sandrine Iratchet-Bonython. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced speaker, preparing for your next sojourn or just wanting to learn a new skill, you’ll love our four week immersion into French language and culture.
Every Tuesday we meet to talk, listen and eat, in French!
Enjoy an hour of language and culture tuition then an intermission with amuse bouche, featuring regional produce and wine. We end with group conversation and language practice.

Each week we will have 1 hour of french cultural visit + half hour break with serving of french degustation specialities of the region and “arrosées” (served with wine) + followed by 1 hour of french language learning.
In the first week we travel to Sandrine’s heritage region, New Aquitaine ( Nouvelle Aquitaine) in the South West of France. Beautiful and culturally distinct, from the Basque country to Bordeaux. On the menu, authentic pintxos ( home made) we serve with our select Rosé.
In week two we journey L’Occitany region, home to Toulouse, carcassonr, Perpignan .. and its unique savoir-vivre.
In our third week we visit the Bretagne Region, in the North West of France, bordered by the English Channel and originally settled by Vikings. Over a meal of homely crèpes salées and sucrées plus a pint of pear cidre, we pay a visit to Brittany’s unique landscape and tradition and revise a few specific aspects of the beautiful French language.
In our fourth and final week we visit Paris Ille de France region. Historic home of artists and writers this stunning city has inspired generations. In tribute to Paris we will sip champagne, eat Mini ratatouille quiche and Mini Croque-monsieur and a brie, apple and honey tartine. We will enjoy a tête-à-tête with our new language skills.

About Sandrine:
Sandrine relocated to Australia 25 years ago, beginning her bilingual journey. Believing that no amount of formal training can prepare for the hurdles of a foreign language, she developed her own style of teaching ~ one that focusses on fun, immersion, uninhibitedness and an appreciation for the cultural fabric and history of another land. Warm, funny and vivacious she will have you speaking and reading with confidence when next required!
